Our Authorized Guided Segway Tour will bring you up close and personal to some of the best points of interest in Cambridge and Boston. The tour takes you along the Cambridge side of the Charles River and over the Massachusetts Avenue Bridge. Then we'll roll down the gorgeous Commonwealth Avenue Mall and into Kenmore Square, stopping for a beautiful view of Fenway Park which boasts the home of Red Sox Nation. Then it's on to the Emerald Necklace on our way to the Museum of Fine Arts. Next on our journey we'll find Symphony Hall and we'll stop for a spectacular view of the Reflecting Pool at the Christian Science Center.
Please note that training starts promptly at 9:00am and the tour departs at 9:30am.

This tour option takes you along the Cambridge side of the Charles River and past the Museum of Science. We'll stop briefly at the TD Bank North Garden - proud home to the Boston Celtics and Boston Bruins and take in views of the iconic Leonard P. Zakim Bunker Hill Bridge. Then we'll cross the river and head into Charlestown as we roll through Paul Revere Park, taking in views of Boston Harbor and the steeple of the Old North Church along the way. Then it's on to a spectacular view of the Bunker Hill Monument which commemorates the first major battle of the American Revolution, the historic U.S.S. Constitution, U.S.S. Cassin Young, the Charlestown Navy Yard, and the entire Boston skyline.

A Fish Called Charles

This tour takes you along the Cambridge side of the Charles River, over the Massachusetts Avenue Bridge and into Boston's Back Bay. We'll roll through the gorgeous Commonwealth Avenue Mall pausing at many of the statues that line this beautiful park. From there, the tour will take you by the Public Garden and Boston Common which was set aside in 1634 and is the oldest public park in America. Here you'll learn the history of the oldest section of Boston and see the very spot where the Redcoats began their journey to Lexington and Concord as they marched toward the Shot Heard Round the World.

DEPOSIT REQUIREMENTS
An amount equal to the full value of the unit, determined by Segway of Northern New England, will be held/reserved on the Renter's credit card until the unit is returned and then the hold will be released.
Please read the following information completely as it outlines your Requirements and Responsibilities as a Segway Authorized Renter.
To participate in our Segway Authorized Rental Program, Riders:

Must be at least 21 years of age, hold a valid driver's license and major credit card

No Renters under 21 without legal guardian over the age of 21 to co-sign the Release Agreement, who holds a valid drivers license and major credit card, and is also renting a unit

No Renters under the age of 16
-
Minimum weight of 100lbs
-
Maximum weight 260lbs
-
No pregnant women
-
Will be required to wear a helmet
-
Use of cell phone, texting and MP3 players will not be allowed

No smoking, No alcohol
Segway of Northern New England suggests the following for your comfort and enjoyment:

Wear proper attire no high heels, no bare feet, no flip flops

Comfortable shoes
-
No scarves or such clothing that may impede your safety while using the Segway PT

No shoulder bags (purses, etc) will be permitted, only across the body straps (messenger style)
-
Dress weather appropriate, including sunscreen

Hats and baseball caps will have to be removed as all riders are required to wear provided helmets
Use the following guidelines to determine whether you will be able to meet the physical requirements necessary to operate a Segway PT safely:

Must be able to step on and off the Segway without assistance, which has an 8 inch step height and which requires physical abilities similar to climbing and descending stairs without the support of a handrail or other walking aid

Must be able to stand for designated periods of time, taking into consideration the duration of the rental you are selecting
Segway of Northern New England reserves the right to refuse service to any rider we feel unable to safely operate the Segway PT.
